Edmonton Sport Youth Foundation Volleyball Camp

The Edmonton Sport Youth Foundation is hosting a Volleyball Camp from February 26th to February 28th, running daily from 9:00 a.m. until noon (early drop off available). Designed for youth players, this camp offers three mornings of focused volleyball instruction and skill development.

Here, the court becomes a second home.
The through-balls, serves, and jump shots become milestones.
And the community becomes family.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • U14 age group
  • Cost: $140 per player; $10 discount per player for multiple players in one family
  • February 26th to 28th (9:00 am to 12:00 pm)

Location

All sessions will take place at the Edmonton Sports Centre, located at 9892 47 Avenue, Edmonton.

COACHING STAFF

Patrik Zimmermann

Lead Instructor

Patrik Zimmermann serves as an assistant coach for the U SPORTS men’s volleyball team at MacEwan University and brings more than 15 years of coaching experience to the camp. He holds German indoor and beach volleyball coaching licences and is an accredited referee in both ACAC and Germany. Patrik has contributed to the development of German volleyball training guidelines and is well known for his dynamic, athlete-first coaching style. His approach is informed by a diverse multi-sport background, including winter sports, cycling, soccer, futsal, and rock climbing, as well as extensive involvement in both European and Canadian sport systems.

Alan Naval

Assistant Instructor

With over three decades of coaching experience, Alan Naval is a staple of the Edmonton high school sports community. During his long-standing tenure at Archbishop O’Leary, he has developed hundreds of athletes, focusing on the technical mechanics of the game and the mental resilience required for high-stakes competition. His expertise extends well beyond the volleyball court; Alan’s extensive background in youth soccer and basketball coaching provides him with a unique perspective on cross-training, lateral agility, and multi-sport athletic development.

Ella Black

Assistant Instructor

Ella Black brings the elite perspective of a current U SPORTS athlete to the Edmonton Sport Centre coaching team. Having competed at the highest collegiate level in the demanding roles of both outside hitter and libero, she possesses a comprehensive understanding of both offensive power and defensive precision. Ella has translated this on-court success into a dedicated coaching career with HITT Volleyball Camps, where she specializes in delivering high-intensity, individual training sessions for athletes. aged 10–18. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in the mastery of technical fundamentals and the enhancement of real-time game awareness.
